We all know a tattoo isn’t finished until it has healed, but unfortunately the best advice on healing is often conflicted.
Most tattoo artists agree to bandage the wound (and yes, it is a wound at this point) is the best way to go, but for how long and with what is where people start to argue, even experienced professionals.
Our experience with tattoo aftercare
Here at Tattoo Station, we have years of experience in the industry, so we know a thing or two about aftercare.
We recommend you remove bandage after two hours, wash well with warm soapy water and pat dry with a clean towel. Air dry and apply a small amount of our recommended aftercare cream, Protat, and repeat twice a day for 2 weeks.
Please do not soak in water, do not swim in the sea or swimming pool, and do not expose your tattoo to the sun until it has completely healed.
Most importantly, do not itch, scratch or pick your tattoo! No matter how tempting it is!
